National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme
At the Barn we provide a scheme called Nicas. It is a national proficiency scheme that develops and accredits the skills of indoor climbing. For any one aged 9 or up, the scheme is a great way to improve and monitor your climbing development. There are five different certificated levels which your instructor can guide you through. You also receive a log book where you record your progress and keep records of your achievements.
The Barn Climbing Wall is a Primary Center for Nicas, which means we can assess all five levels and also give inductions to organizations wishing to become awarding centers.
